Mesh is an installation artwork composed of sound and space, inspired by Timothy Morton's concept of Mesh.

 

In his book 'Ecological Thought', Morton describes the mesh as a system constructed by living organisms, similar to language, which is made up of differences in meaning and arbitrary networks. Like language, which has no centre, edges, front or back, the mesh is a network constantly transforming by intertwining our living organisms.

 

The gravel platform is equipped with microphones in each of the four areas.

The vibrations caused by the friction with the ground as the actors enter the space are converted into individual tones and then played by the four speakers. During the gallery opening period, the tones in the space transformed continuously, attempting to embody the fact that the actors themselves and the Mesh itself are building a network.
