Dawson's hill consists of the three-dimensional work Untitled and the sound works Ambient I and Ambient II.
It was also part of the Great North Wood, an ancient forest located in South-East London. The space was restored as a Nature Reserve in 1970 with the construction of Dawson's Height Estate.
This work is an installation consisting of two layers of soundscapes recorded in the space, which comprises the three elements Geophony, Biophony and Anthropony, and re-arranged in the space.
Dawson’s hil は立体作品Untitledと音作品Ambient I, Ambient IIで構成される。
Dawson's hillは南ロンドンにあるDawson’s Height Estateの北に面する傾斜丘であり、Great North Woodの一部でもあった。この空間は1970年に同Estateの建設とともにNature Reserveとして復元される。
本作品は同空間で録音しGeophony, Biophony, Anthroponyの3要素からなるサウンドスケープを2つのレイヤーにわけ、空間に再配置することで構成されるインスタレーションである。
